Bodies Measured Individually

the problem

The Body Mass Index (BMI) chart is an outdated tool that results in unrealistic standards of health and beauty. It is used to categorize a person as underweight, normal weight, overweight, or obese. But, there is no one size fits all solution in determining one's health. Today’s medical professionals need to consider size, race, ethnicity, and family history when determining their patients’ best path to health.

the solution

We created an awareness campaign to start a conversation around modifying the BMI and the way “healthy” is defined. Women are constantly held to superficial standards of beauty that damage self-esteem. Our campaign helps to change that. We are all different and our bodies should be Bodies Measured Individually.
